Harvested: Early May 2014, bottled early September 2014.
Vintage 2014 began with a mild winter and followed by a warm calm spring, perfect conditions for a short flowering, good fruit set and healthy spring growth. Temperatures nose-dived in January, the coolest January we have experienced in the vineyard in 10 years. But conditions in February & March improved and we enjoyed the stable & fine weather these months typically provide. March and April remained dry and unusually warm, counteracting our cool January. This was one of our latest harvests and one of our biggest with great tight bunches of berries excellent quality fruit.
An elegant nose of floral delicate aromas lush and pleasant on the palate, with a fabulous long finish and the slightest hint of pepper at the end. Its luscious with a lovely balance between the acidity and residual sugars. This is a wonderful wine delicate and expressive our second vintage of this variety.
